PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On May 18, 2026, city council approved the Public Hearing and Introductory Ordinance to amend Chapter 23-6, Section 2, fee schedule for Buena Vista Sports Complex. On March 16, 2026, city council approved an ordinance amending Chapter 23 to allow retail vendor space rental fees and also amend the definition of hours of usage from all day to mean the period of time from 8am to10m.
BACKGROUND
In order to be more effective in revenue collections and attracting sports organizations, and also initiate hosting in-house tournaments, it is necessary to amend the ordinance to include 6-week team programs, Complex hosted events and program and tournament registration and gate fees, weekday per pod/complex rates, weekend discount package, weekday grouping of 2-hour field rentals and add-on fees for custom fence distance, tables and chairs set up, tent and canopy set up and tournament check-in sessions.
