Authorizing the City Manager to submit a grant application in the amount of $297,446.00 to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) for Fiscal Year 2022 Section 5310 Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Grant Program. Funding will be will be used to purchase two Paratransit Vans for El Lift Department. FTA share is $252,829.00 (85%) and local match of $44,617.00 (15%). Funding will be available in the Transit Capital Grants Fund.

BACKGROUND
On June 16, 2022, FTA announced approximately $8.4 million in Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 and FY 2022 funding through the Innovative Coordinated Access and Mobility (ICAM) program to 17 projects in 16 states. This program provides formula funding to states designated recipients to meet the transportation need of older adults and people with disabilities when the transportation service provided is unavailable, insufficient, or inappropriate to meeting these needs.
