This purchase shall be made utilizing the Interlocal Purchasing System (TIPS) Account ID #8755, Contract #23010401. Funding is available in the Sewer System Fund- 2015B Sewer Revenue Bond.

BACKGROUND
After the completion of the South Laredo WWTP expansion in 2014, four 250-hp pumps were installed, and an additional two were added in the second expansion to 18 MGD in 2019. Currently, there are two pumps being repaired, and we are replacing one of the damaged pumps as a contingency measure, because the expected lifespan of pump is ten years. This equipment operates continuously, 24-hours a day; 7-days a week; and 365-days a year. This operation is critical in maintaining discharge permit requirements with TCEQ and EPA.
