PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION

City Council approved the grant application submission with Resolution #2024-R-105 on March 18, 2024; and accepted the grant award with Resolution #2024-R-212 on July 22, 2024.

 

BACKGROUND

Resolution #2024-R-212 authorized the City Manager to accept a grant award from the Texas Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority (MVCPA) for the FY24 SB224 Catalytic Converter Grant for the period of March 18, 2024 through March 17, 2025.  Said resolution needs to be amended by updating the Authorized Officials.

The proposed changes are as follows:

Whereas, the City of Laredo has designated Steve E. Landin, Assistant City Manager as the Authorized Official; Francisco J. Mata, Financial Services Director as the Financial Officer; and Chief of Police Miguel A. Rodriguez, Jr. as the Program Director.
