PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On March 17, 2025, City Council awarded a construction contract to the sole, responsible, responsive bidder ALC Construction Co., Laredo, Texas, in the amount not to exceed $1,361,278.00 for the City of Laredo - Riverbend Hike & Bike Trail Project - Phase 1 Rebid Project for the total base bid and alternate #4, which includes removing asphalt and replacing with concrete. Construction contract time is 120 working days. Funding is available in the Environmental Services Fund- Riverbend Grant and 2019 Certificate of Obligation Bond.
BACKGROUND
The City of Laredo proposes to improve accessibility and promote the development of an environmentally friendly ecosystem by constructing 2,200 LF of hike and bike trial, a pre-engineered outdoor gazebo, bird observation decks, and related appurtenances.
