BACKGROUND
The City of Laredo is requesting authorization to submit an application for financial assistance through the Texas Water Development Board’s Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) – Emerging Contaminants (EC) Program in an amount not to exceed $1,445,000.00.
The proposed project includes PFAS study, testing, monitoring, technical evaluation, and development of an action plan to effectively address emerging contaminants within the City’s wastewater system.
The Resolution also designates certain City officials as authorized representatives for purposes of preparing, submitting, and administering the application and authorizes the use of appropriate professionals in support of the application.
The proposed financial assistance is anticipated to be structured as 100% grant funding with no local match required. Therefore, there is no anticipated financial impact to the City at this time.
