BACKGROUND

The South Laredo Wastewater Treatment Plant operates (4) belt Filter Presses for sludge de-watering purposes. Presently there are two (2) Water Tech Sludge conveying belt systems taking processed sludge to the sludge disposal trucks for Landfill disposal. This is needed in order to maintain operations up to TCEQ standards to prevent odors control and vector attraction.

Notarized sole source letter is attached.
