PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On April 20, 2020, City Council awarded a professional services contract to Porras Nance Engineering Company, Laredo, Texas, for an amount not to exceed $397,500.00 for the design and preparation of plans and specifications for the Springfield Avenue Extension form the southern end near Del Mar Blvd. to San Isidro Parkway/Bob Bullock Loop on the northern (Phase 1 & 4).
BACKGROUND
The Project consists of Constructing approximately 13,600 SY of roadway pavement, 57,700 SF of sidewalks, 1500 LF of RCP Storm Drains, 2500 LF of PVC Water Main, 950 LF of PVC Sewer Main, with related ramps, striping, landscape, appurtenances, and incidentals. Construction contract time for the project is Two hundred and twenty (220) Working Days.
A total of four (4) bids, three electronic and one manual submittal, were received at the City Secretary’s office on Thursday, September 10, 2026 at 4:00 P.M. which were publicly opened, read and taken advertisement on Friday, September 11, 2026 at 2:00 P.M.
