PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On July 21, 2025, City Council approved to award a construction contract to the lowest, responsible, responsive bidder ALC Construction CO., Inc., Laredo, Texas in the amount not to exceed $637,800.00 for FY24-ENG-87 Forest Loop Drainage Channel Project for the total base bid including a $70,000.00 contingency allowance. Construction contract time is 120 working days. Funding is available in the Environmental Services Fund-2016 and 2019 Certificate of Obligations.

BACKGROUND
This project consists of constructing 10,300 SF of reinforced concrete riprap (channel), 11,500 SF of reinforced concrete riprap (aprons), concrete energy dissipator blocks, 50 LF of retaining walls, and subsidiary work. Construction contract time for the project is one hundred and twenty (120) working days.
