BACKGROUND
We received the proposed license agreement from U.S. Customs and Border Protection last week for six additional locations for relocatable camera towers including World Trade Bridge, along the River Vaga and at South Laredo Wastewater Treatment Plant as shown on the attached document:
After reviewing the proposed license agreement, the language is consistent with other agreements currently in place including the latest approved by City Council February 17, 2026. The main points of the agreement include the following:
? The City may revoke the agreement at any time, for any reason, with ninety (90) days' written notice.
? CBP will be responsible for all costs associated with the use of the Property for the permitted use.
? Each system area will consist of up to approximately three thousand six hundred (3,600) square feet.
? Access to one system area will be through the main golf course entrance and the existing parking area near the clubhouse. Access to the other system area will be primarily through private property, providing entry into City property near the river.
