Contract was approved by City Council on November 20, 2023.

 

BACKGROUND

The Solid Waste Department formally requested bids to award a contract for dirt hauling services through Cit-E-Bid procurement system. The City received five bids from local vendors for three (3) type of services: Option 1: Hauling Services Only; Option 2 Load dirt and hauling services; Option 3 Purchase and Hauling of dirt. Landfill decided to go with Option 3. This service requires the vendor to work 8 hours per day, Monday-Saturday, and be able to respond within 8 hours of notice any time of the day or night hauling approximately 175,000 tons of soils to the City Landfill during the contract period. This is the first of three extension periods. Renewal will commence on November 20, 2024.
