BACKGROUND
On June 24, 2025 a total of four (4) garbage trucks caught on fire. Three (3) are Solid Waste and one (1) rental from Big Truck Rental (BTR). Texas Municipal League (TML) concluded that all four (4) trucks were a total loss. The amount to replace the burned rental garbage truck is $403,599.55 and $414,490.22 to purchase equipment.
