Motion to rescind purchase contract with McNeilus Truck, Dodge Center, MN. for the purchase of six automated side garbage loaders in the total amount of $2,290,836.00 and consideration to award a purchase contract to Rush Truck Center, Laredo, Texas in the total amount of $2,399,700.00 for the purchase of six Peterbilt 520 automated side garbage loaders for the Solid Waste Department. This purchase shall be made utilizing Buyboard Cooperative Purchasing Program contract #723-23 pricing. Funding is available in the Solid Waste Operations Fund and 2023 Certificate of Obligation Bond.

BACKGROUND
The six (6) Automated Side Garbage Loaders will be used to pick up residential yard clippings, leaves & branches. McNeilus is not able to mount their Autoreach body on a Battle Motos chassis therefore cannot supply the six (6) Automated Side Garbage Loaders. Rush Truck Center will deliver the garbage trucks in an estimated eight-month period upon receipt of order.
