PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION

On June 16, 2025, the Laredo Mass Transit Board approved to submit this grant application to the Federal Transit Administration.

 

BACKGROUND

The FTA Section 5310 program, also known as the Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Program, provides federal grants to states and local governments to improve mobility for seniors and individuals with disabilities by expanding transportation options and removing barriers. This program focuses on addressing the transportation needs of these groups when public transportation is unavailable, insufficient or inappropriate.
