BACKGROUND
The City of Laredo IST department received a DIR proposal to purchase a two-year Cisco DNA enterprise service agreement. The application and service allow staff to monitor the network, deploy operating system updates, push configuration to network devices remotely, and provide a first level of security over the network.
Cisco is the brand of network switches for a closed telecommunications infrastructure in place to provide access to the Internet, voice, and video services for City departments’ staff. Network equipment is installed at 100 city facilities.
The agreement is for two years, with two disbursements, October 1, 2026, for $61,215.32 and August 15, 2027, for $69,628.81
