On April 19, 2022, the Laredo Mass Transit Board approved and adopted the revised Drug and Alcohol Policy.
BACKGROUND
A resolution of the Laredo Mass Transit Board of the City of Laredo to approve and adopt the Laredo Transit Management Inc.(LTMI) Drug and Alcohol Policy in accordance with regulations of the United States Department of Transportation (DOT)Title 49 Code of Regulations (CFR) Part 655 and Part 40. Because the City of Laredo is a federal grant recipient, the Laredo Transit Management Inc. assures that it will comply with 49 CFR Parts 655 and 40 of the DOT Title 49 designed to help prevent accidents, injuries, and fatalities resulting from the misuse of alcohol and use of prohibited drugs by employees who perform safety-sensitive functions. The prior Transit Management Company had adopted the Drug and Alcohol Policy on January 15, 2019.
