Consideration for approval of FY23-ENG-30 Prada Machin Dr. Speed Tables District II project as complete, approval of change order No.1, a total decrease in the amount of $10,000.00 to adjust for final project close-out items, release of retainage, and approval of final payment in the amount of $13,980.00 to Midas Contractors, LLC. The final construction contract amount including this change order is $139,800.00 with a construction contract time of thirty (30) working days. Funding is available in the 2019 CO Bond District II Priority Funding.

PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On October 2,2023 City Council approved to award construction contract FY23-ENG-30 to the lowest responsible responsive bidder Midas Contractors, LLC., Laredo, Texas; in the amount not to exceed $149,800.00 for the Prada Machin Dr. Speed Tables - District II which includes total alternate #1 plus a $10,000.00 contingency allowance and authorizing the City Manager to execute all related contract documents contingent upon receipt and approval of insurance and bond documents. The construction contract time for the project is 30 working days and funding is available in the 2019 CO Bond District II Priority Funding.
BACKGROUND
This project consists of constructing five (5) concrete speed tables of 48' Back to Back width at Prada Machin Drive in accordance with AASHTO and the Texas Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices for Streets and Highways.
Sealed bids were received at the City Secretary's Office, 1110 Houston Street, 3rd floor, City Hall Building, Laredo, Texas, or electronically through Cit-E-Bid until 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, September 14, 2023 and publicly opened, read, and taken under advisement on Friday September 15, 2023 at 10:30 A.M. for FY23-ENG-30 "Prada Machin Drive Speed Tables - District II" for the City of Laredo, including acknowledgment of any addenda submitted, and all other necessary documents.
