PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On March 29, 2021, City Council approved Ordinance No. 2022-O-120 authorizing the Interim City Manager to accept an Economic Development Administration Grant in the amount of $1,500,000.00, with a local match of $375,000.00 for a total of $1,875,000.00 for the Springfield Road Extension Phase II. Also, authorizing the Interim City Manager to amend the FY22 Capital Grant Budget by appropriating revenues and expenses in the same amount. Local match will be from the 2019 Certificate of Obligation bond.
BACKGROUND
The project consists of constructing a five (5) lane concrete pavement roadway that includes the following: Constructing a 9" concrete pavement roadway (820 LF), 12" diameter water line DR-14 PVC, 8" diameter sanitary sewer line SDR-26, traffic signal, street lights, 12' sidewalks, utility conduit crossings, etc.
Construction contract time for the project is One Hundred Thirty-Five (135) working days.
Two (2) electronic bids, were received at City Secretary's Office, 1110 Houston Street, 3rd floor, City Hall Building, Laredo, Texas, on Thursday, May 30, 2024 and publicly opened, read, and taken under advisement on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 11:30 A.M.
