BACKGROUND
In December 2023, City Council approved Resolution 2024-R-200 for the Economic Development Department to partner with Laredo College to provide a continuation of the ongoing workforce skills, development and certification program for persons that experienced negative impacts to their employment caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. Over 1500 students have been served so far through the first 2 renditions of the Laredo CARES program.
