Authorizing the City Manager to renew Contract FY24-100 for Beverage Services with Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages LLC, Dallas, Texas, for the Detoxification Department, to exercise an additional two (2) year extension period. The extension shall commence on November 1, 2026, and end on October 31, 2028, upon mutual agreement of the parties. The contract extension will include a five percent (5%) annual increase in product costs, as provided for under the existing contract terms. The annual contract amount for the first year of the extension will be $131,689.95, and the annual contract amount for the second year will be $138,274.45, for a total contract amount not to exceed $269,964.40 for the additional two (2) year period. All other terms and conditions of the contract shall remain in full force and effect. Funding for this contract is available in the Detoxification Department budget.

Relevance: The agenda item supports the continued operation of the City's 24-bed Detoxification Department/ROOTS Recovery Center by providing beverages used for patient consumption during medically managed detoxification and crisis stabilization. Although the procurement of beverages does not itself discourage substance abuse, it provides an operational resource necessary for a facility serving individuals experiencing substance use disorders.
