BACKGROUND
The City of Laredo Plaza Theatre is an existing movie theatre building located in downtown Laredo, TX. The work includes the removal of the roof's existing MEP, HVAC equipment, equipment curbs, ducts, vents, piping, conduit, electric boxes, roof insulation and top roofing membrane. Refer to demolition plans for more information on scope.
The existing roof deck will remain and be repaired based on the contractor's assessment after uncovering. The contractor will then provide and install new insulation, roof membrane and accessories, metal coping and trim as per the construction documents. Construction contract time for the project is one hundred days (100) working days.
A total of seven (7) electronic bids were received at the City Secretary’s office on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 4:00 P.M. which were publicly opened, read and taken advertisement on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 10:00 A.M. Of the seven (7) bids, only five (5) bidders included all of the required documentation (including Bid Bonds).
