BACKGROUND
The Texas Health and Human Services Commission continues to contract with the City of Laredo to provide public health preventive and screening patient care services for the uninsured, underserved and medically indigent of Laredo through the City of Laredo Public Health Department. Funding through these grants provide eligible women prenatal, preventive, and primary women's health care including limited dysplasia, newborn services and dental and preventive care services to eligible children and adolescents. The program will bill Title V or Medicaid for all Medicaid eligible services and will ensure that all program income generated through Medicaid be used to expand and enhance women health services, conduct maternal (prenatal) and women's preventive health care, children's health services and men and families preventive and chronic disease health care with quality wellness and preventive health care services for the underserved, uninsured and medically indigent.
