BACKGROUND
The Department of Health and Human Services contracts with The City of Laredo Public Health Department to provide public health services through Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs (CYSHCN) Grant. Through this partnership, Laredo Public Health Department will be able to provide leadership in assessing, prioritizing, and addressing the health needs of children and youth up to age 21 with special health care needs and individuals of any age with cystic fibrosis in Texas, to promote the health of families through advocacy and education, case management services provided through in-depth assessment and planning in partnership with families, and to ensure access to high-quality, community-based, preventive, primary and specialty health care.
