The term of this contract is for two (2) years, subject to future appropriations with (1) one additional (2) two-year extension period upon mutual agreement of the Parties. By ensuring leachate is collected, treated, and disposed of in accordance with TCEQ regulations, the City reduces the risk of groundwater and surface water contamination. This effort advances the Plan’s goals related to sustainable waste practices, clean water protection, and infrastructure modernization.

BACKGROUND
The Solid Waste Department formally requested bids to award a contract for Transportation & Disposal of Leachate & Contaminated Water for the Solid Waste Department to lowest bidder Mo-Vac Service Company, Inc. through Cit-E-Bid procurement system. A total of three submittals were received: Mo-Vac Service Company, Inc., Laredo, Texas; Sarabia & Company LLC, Laredo, Texas; JABK Homes LLC, Laredo, Texas.
The term of this contract is for two (2) years with one additional two-year period upon mutual agreement and contingent upon availability of funds. Funds are available in the Solid Waste Department funds.
