Consideration to renew contract FY22-085 to Anderson Columbia, Weslaco, TX for a total annual amount not to exceed $750,000.00 for the purchase of asphalt cold HMCL type B for Public Works and various City departments. The term of this contract shall be for a period of one year beginning as of the date of its execution. This is the second of three one-year extension periods. No price change in this last extension. Funding is available in the General Fund - Public Works Construction Budget and Capital Improvements Funds and in the respective department’s budgets.

The City of Laredo went out on Formal Bid solicitations through Cit-E-Bid for awarding a supply contract for Hot-Mix Cold-Laid Asphalt Concrete Pavement (HMCL) Type B, sole bidder was Anderson Columbia, Weslaco, TX. All items will be purchased on as needed basis. The term of this contract shall be for a period of one year beginning as of the date of its execution. This is the second of three one-year extension periods.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The purpose of this contract is to establish prices for the commodities or services needed, should the City need the purchase these commodities or services. The City’s obligation for performance of an annual supply contract beyond the current fiscal year is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payments for the contract purchases can be made. If no funds are appropriated and budgeted during the next fiscal year, this contract becomes null and void.
