BACKGROUND

The Texas Department of State Health Services through the CDC Public Health Crisis Response contracts with the City of Laredo to establish, expand, train, travel, and sustain the public health workforce to support jurisdictional COVID-19 prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery initiatives through the City of Laredo Health Department. Funding will be used to recruit, hire, and train personnel to address projected jurisdictional COVID-19 response needs to include hiring personnel to build capacity to address state, tribal, local, and territorial public health priorities deriving from COVID-19.
