PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
Authorized participation in the Buyboard, HGAC, and Sourcewell Cooperative Purchasing Program Contracts.
BACKGROUND
The one (1) Peterbilt 548 Water Truck truck will be used to control dust emissions as necessary from haul roads and working face by misting with water during periods of dry weather.
The one (1) Peterbilt 548 Roll Off Truck will be used to pick up bulky waste during operation clean ups & recycle at the recycle drop.
The four (4) Peterbilt 548 Rear Garbage Loaders will be used to pick up residential yard clippings, leaves, and branches.
The one (1) Caterpillar 966XE Wheel Loader will be used to load tires, white goods, branches, dirt, & mulch into containers or dump trucks. This machine is vital to landfill operations and enables the department to stay in compliance with TCEQ.
The one (1) TANA 555 Landfill Compactor will be used at the landfill working area to compact all the daily garbage that comes into the landfill. This compactor will extend the life of the landfill and enables the department to stay in compliance with TCEQ.
The six (6) Automated Side Garbage Loaders will be used to pick up residential yard clippings, leaves, and branches.
The one (1) Motor Grader will be used at the landfill to construct and fix roads.
