Summary of alignment: The Women’s Health and Family Planning Association of Texas (WHFPT) d.b.a. Every Body Texas program directly supports Viva Laredo’s strategic vision to improve public health outcomes and reduce disparities in health access. By continuing its partnership with Every Body Texas through the WHFPT Title X Project Grant, the Laredo Public Health Department is providing comprehensive and equitable women’s health and family planning services. These include preventive screenings (e.g., pap smears, mammograms), reproductive health education, and family planning.

BACKGROUND

The City of Laredo Public Health Department is continuing its contract with Every Body Texas for the continuation of the Title X Women’s Health and Family Planning Program. Through this agreement, the Public Health Department will provide family planning and women’s preventive wellness services to include counseling and health education, women’s health wellness and preventive health care services (breast exams, mammography’s, pap smears, annual check-ups), family planning, birth control, prenatal, post-partum and intrapartum care, laboratory and diagnostic services needed for quality women’s health care and in accordance to Title X screening and eligibility guidelines.
