On March 21, 2022 City Council approved the selection of the top ranked consultantAble City, LLC, Laredo, Texas for RFQ FY21-ENG-08 El Metro Transit Operations,Maintenance and Administration Phase 1 to be located at 1801 Jacaman Road (N.Bartlett Ave. and Jacaman Road); and authorization to negotiate a professionalservices contract.
BACKGROUND
The City of Laredo, TX (City) intends to design, build, and construct new facilities tosupport administration, operations and maintenance functions for El Metro.Specifically, the City intends to design and build an administration/operation building, amaintenance building, and a bus wash and fueling facility, all generally located on aland parcel immediately southeast of the intersection of Bartlett Avenue and JacamanRoad. Previously, a detailed design was completed to provide these three facilities inthe same site as documented in Contract Documents (plans and specificationsprepared by this Project Team in 2013. Construction of these documents was notadvanced.
