The term of this contract shall be for a period of two (2) years beginning the date of execution with a one (1) additional two (2) year extension period upon mutual agreement of the parties. BACKGROUND

The City went out on formal bids and received two (2) bid submittal through
Cit-E-Bid. The city received 2 Submittals: Tabulation below:

Midas Contractors LLC   $402.00
Royal Contractors, Inc.   $1,095.00

Laredo Tx for providing plumbing maintenance and repairs services for City owned Municipal Housing and Noise Abatement properties on an "as needed basis” These services shall consist of all labor, equipment, and related appurtenances required to complete these services. City staff is recommending that this contract be awarded to the lowest bidder Midas Contractors LLC.

The term of this contract shall be for a period of two (2) year beginning as of the date
of its execution. The contract may be extended for one (1), additional two (2)
year periods. Should the vendor desire to extend the contract for the additional two
year periods, it must so notify the City in writing no later than sixty (60) days before
the expiration of the prior term. Such notification shall be effective upon actual receipt
by the City. Renewals shall be in writing and signed by the City's Purchasing Manager
& City Manager or his designee, without further action by the Laredo City Council,
subject to and contingent upon appropriation of funding therefore. All annual contracts
shall bound by the terms of the bid documents. In the event a new contract cannot be
executed on the anniversary date of the original term or renewal term, the contract
may be renewed month to month until a new contract is executed.

obligation for performance of an annual supply contract beyond the current fiscal year
