BACKGROUND

The Airport currently owns all facilities, operational equipment and revenue control system currently used. The Airport considers the parking operation as an important component of the overall airport operation. The airport offers both short-term and long-term parking options. The short-term parking lot has three entry points and two exits with a total of 414 parking spaces, while the long-term (economy) parking lot has one entry and one exit with a total of 474 parking spaces.

The City of Laredo formally solicited Requests For Proposals through Cit-E-Bid for parking management at the Laredo International Airport.  The City received four (4) submittals from the following companies:

- Front Row Parking, LLC, College Park, GA
- Premium Parking Service, LLC, New Orleans LA
- Republic Parking Systems, LLC, New York, NY
- SP Plus, LLC, Chicago, IL

All proposals were initially evaluated by the City of Laredo Committee Team. The evaluation scoring was based on the following criteria: Performance, Management/Operation approach, Vendor Experience/Expertise, Financial Capabilities and References.
