On February 17, 2026 City Council approved to amend the FY 2025-2026 Noise Abatement Fund budget by drawing down fund balance and appropriating expenditures in the amount of $61,162.89, representing funds awarded by the Texas Municipal League (TML).
BACKGROUND
A residential property participating in the City of Laredo’s Noise Abatement Program sustained fire damage. The City received an award from the Texas Municipal League (TML) related to the fire claim. The reimbursement was received in last year fiscal year and deposited into the Noise Abatement Fund balance for the new fiscal year. In order to properly budget and expend these funds, a budget amendment to the FY 2025-2026 Noise Abatement Fund is required.
