Consideration to renew annual supply contract with the following vendors:
1) Gateway Uniform Service, Laredo, TX and;
2) Red Wing Brands of America, Red Wing, MN., (Mobile unit)
in an annual amount not to exceed $100,000.00 for the purchase of Red Wing safety boots for various departments. Red Wing Brands of America shall utilize the Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract Pricing: GSA Contract 47QSWA22S00AB. Gateway Uniform Service is proposing a 25% increase in unit price of safety boots during this extension period. The price increase is due to recent shipping and material cost increases. The term of this contract shall be for two (2) years. This is the last extension period for this contract. Funding for this contract is available in the respective City department's operational budget.

BACKGROUND
Red Wing Brands of America, Inc. (RWBA) provides safety footwear and other personal protective equipment and accessories. RWBA makes its Products available through various RWBA distribution channels, which include, but are not limited to:
• RWBA authorized dealers including all Red Wing Shoe stores
• RWBA branded stores, including Gateway Uniform Service Inc.
• RWBA mobile trucks
Utilizing Cooperative Purchasing Program Contract Pricing: GSA Contract 47QSWA2S00AB. These Red Wing brand safety footwear are to be used by various City Departments including: Public Works, Utilities, Solid Waste, Parks and others, subject to be approved by Risk Management Division. The term of this contract shall be for a period of two-years.

The purpose of this contract is to establish prices for the commodities or services needed, should the City need to purchase these commodities or services. The City's obligation for performance of an annual supply contract beyond the current fiscal year is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payments for the contract purchases can be made. If no funds are appropriated and budgeted during the next fiscal year, this contract becomes null and void.
