PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On June 20, 2023, City Council accepted the revised offer of Summit Building & Design for FY23-ENG-07 Southern Hotel Apartments Rehabilitation Project, in an amount not to exceed $6,848,896.00, for the negotiated base bid, including allowances and construction contract time of 480 calendar days. The project consists of the general rehabilitation and construction of the City of Laredo three-story historic former Southern Hotel for adaptive resuse as downtown affordable housing located at 1210 Matamoros St. in Laredo, Texas.
BACKGROUND
The Work of this Contract comprises the general rehabilitation and construction of the City of Laredo three story historic former Southern Hotel for adaptive re-use as downtown affordable housing located at 1210 Matamoros Street in Laredo, TX, Webb County as per the plans and specification prepared by Sepulveda Associates Architects, Inc. and respective team professional services consultants dated December 15, 2022.
