BACKGROUND
The City received twelve proposals through Cit-E-Bid for the providing security guard services for various municipal operations. This contract provides an hourly rate for security services as required by the Bridge System, City Hall, Health Department, Municipal Housing, Solid Waste and any other municipal facility or operation. The term of this contract was for a period of two years with the option to renew for three additional one year periods. This is the first of three extension periods. A recommendation was presented to award this contract to Night Owl Security utilizing the best value evaluation criteria. The highest scored vendor Task Force Security has withdrawn their bid.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The purpose of this contract is to establish prices for the services needed should the City need to purchase these commodities or services. The City's obligation for performance of an annual supply contract beyond the current fiscal year is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payments for the contract purchases can be made. If no funds are appropriated and budgeted during the next fiscal year, this contracts becomes null and void.
