Scope of services include but are not limited to:
Notice is hereby given that the City of Laredo is accepting Statement of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified firms interested in providing professional services to prepare Architectural and Engineering schematic designs, design development, construction documents, procurement services, bid documents, specifications and estimates for renovations & building upgrades to El Metro Transit Center located at 1301 Farragut Street. Professional Service agreement(s) will be issued for the project upon funding available. Consultants are cautioned to refer to other sections of this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) packet for further details.
Scope of services include, but are not limited to the following:
1. Preliminary/Schematic design, planning, assessments, renderings and modeling
2. Design Development and opinion of probable cost
3. Construction documents, specifications and estimates
4. Bid documents and contract award
5. Construction administration/oversight and progress meetings
6. Project close-out including as-built plans
7. Building Code(s) & Fire Code Review
8. Design of Interior improvements to existing building (5 story building)
9. Design of exterior improvements to existing buildings (5 story building)
10. Design renovations & upgrades, alterations, and/or additions/extensions to the existing building structure
11. Site visits, inspections and field observation reports
12. Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) review, requirements and compliance
13. Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification
14. Surveying including boundary, topographical, construction staking, etc.
15. Utility Coordination Committee
16. Building permit submittal and approval process
17. Any permits, reports or documents required for completion of the project
18. Project close-out including as-builts
19. Other required Architectural or Engineering services as needed
