Consideration to renew contract FY22-083 with Holguin Cleaners, Laredo, Texas for providing laundry and dry-cleaning services to the Laredo Police Department in the amount not to exceed $100,000.00. This is a laundry and dry-cleaning services contract for police uniforms and non-uniforms; in accordance to the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement. The term of this contract was for a period of one-year subject to future appropriations; contract may be extended for two additional one-year periods, upon mutual agreement of the parties. This is the last extension period. Contract will commence on September 2025. Funding is available in the General Fund-Police Department.

BACKGROUND
The City went out on formal bids and received one (1) bid submittal through Cit-E-Bid for awarding an annual contract for Dry Cleaning and Laundry Services for Laredo Police uniforms and non-police uniforms; in accordance to the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement. Vendor will be required to itemize all items with the respective price and bill on actual services rendered. The term of this contract shall be for the period of year; subject to future appropriations; contract may be extended for three additional one-year period each upon mutual agreement of the parties.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Funds are available in the Police Department’s contractual services, linen and laundry service line item budget. The City obligation for performance of an annual supply contract beyond the current fiscal year is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds from which payments for the contract purchases can be made. If no funds are appropriated and budgeted during the next fiscal year, this contract becomes null and void.
