BACKGROUND
The current Roadside Toll Collection System (RTCS) servers have been in production since 2017. The current servers have reached their typical life cycle and end of support with the manufacturer. The Laredo Bridge System relies on these servers to host its RTCS applications used for the Electronic Toll Collection System for all vehicles that cross into Mexico through the four International Bridges. The servers host the applications that handle the toll collection, toll lane management, reporting and video auditing systems. The Laredo Bridge System relies on the RTCS applications to be able to support the Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) program accounts and maintain accountability of the southbound vehicular transactions. The Laredo Bridge System depends on the RTCS for the electronic toll collection that allows expeditious bridge crossings at the four International Bridges.
