BACKGROUND

The City of Laredo Fire Department has identified one surplus vehicle, a 1999 Spartan Aerial Truck, VIN [4S7HU8195XCO30119] (Unit #129), for donation to the Municipality of Corregidora, Querétaro, Mexico. The vehicle has been fully depreciated, has minimal to no remaining monetary value, and is no longer part of the City’s active fleet.

The donation of this 1999 Spartan Aerial Truck will provide valuable support to emergency response operations in the Municipality of Corregidora and the greater Querétaro metropolitan area. This action reflects the City of Laredo’s commitment to international cooperation and supports the partnership established through the recent agreement with the State of Querétaro, as well as the Sister Cities Agreement executed between the City of Laredo and the Municipality of Corregidora in 2017.

The vehicle will be donated on an “as-is” basis, and the City of Laredo shall bear no responsibility or liability for its operation, maintenance, or use following transfer of ownership. This donation further reinforces the City’s ongoing efforts to foster regional collaboration, strengthen binational relationships, and support public safety initiatives among its international partners.
