Consideration to award annual service/parts contract number RFB 2026-051 to the sole bidder Bay Area
General Crane Service, Houston, Texas in an annual amount up to $60,000.00 and $180,000.00 for the remainder of the contract term. This contract establishes pricing for crane/hoist maintenance and inspection/repair services for the Jefferson & El Pico Water Treatment Plants. The term of this contract shall be for a period of one (1) year beginning as of the date of its execution and is contingent upon the availability of appropriated funds. This contract can be renewed three (3) additional one (1) year extension periods, upon mutual agreement of the parties. Funding is available in the Utilities Department - Water Treatment Division Budget.

BACKGROUND
The City received one (1) bid through Cit-E-Bid for crane/hoist maintenance and inspection/repair services for the Jefferson & El Pico Water Treatment Plants. All maintenance and repair services will be secured on an as need basis. The term of this contract shall be for a period of one (1) year beginning as of the date of its execution. The contract may be extended for three, additional one (1) year periods. This contract shall be the responsibility of and administered by the vendor and the City of Laredo Utilities Department.
