Authorizing the City Manager to execute legal documents conveying to AEP Texas, Inc., two, 10-foot-wide easements for electric distribution lines at properties located in the Cheyenne Subdivision. These easements will facilitate a project to install lighting and cameras at both Haynes Recreation Center Chacon Trail and the Chacon Trail at Cheyenne Park. Said easements lie wholly within a tract of land containing 8.3233 acres described as Lot Number One, in Block Number Seven, Cheyenne Subdivision, Phase II; and a tract of land containing 7.22 acres described as Lot 12, Block 1, Cheyenne Subdivision, Phase V. This authorization includes the execution of all necessary documents and any actions required to effectuate the easements.

Consent Agenda Item 26-1547 was approved by Council on September 08, 2026 to execute perpetual easements and right of way with AEP TEXAS, INC.
BACKGROUND
City of Laredo has agreed to convey said easements to AEP Texas, Inc. for the electric distribution lines at two properties located in the Cheyenne Subdivision. This is required to provide power for lighting and cameras along the Chacon Trails and Haynes Recreation Center.
