PREVIOUS COUNCIL ACTION
On November 18, 2024, City Council passed a resolution ordering and proclaiming a General Runoff Election to be held on December 14, 2024 in the City of Laredo for Council District IV, designating polling places, providing publication, and authorizing the City Manager to enter into contract with the Webb County Elections Office / Administrator in the estimated amount of $100,241.12. On July 22, 2024, the City Council ordered a General Election to be held on November 5, 2024 in the City of Laredo.
BACKGROUND
On July 22, 2024, Ordinance No. 2024-O-126 was approved for ordering and proclaiming a General City Election to be held on November 5, 2024; for: the election of city officials, designating polling places, providing publication, and authorizing the City Manager to enter into contract with Webb County Elections Office / Administrator in the amount of $116,217.07 for the purpose of conducting a joint election.
